QPR TRACKING GILLS HOTSHOT SIMEON JACKSON?
Monday 12 October
Championship outfit QPR sent their assistant manager John Gorman to Priestfield on Saturday to check out the form of Gills leading scorer Simeon Jackson.
Many of the Gills fans who spotted the former Chairboys boss sitting in the Medway Stand may have wrongly thought he was looking to make a return to Adams Park in succession to Peter Taylor.
Speaking to the Bucks Free Press today, Gorman said, “I was at Gillingham because Jim Magilton (Rangers manager) had asked me to go along to watch one of their players.
It is just a coincidence that the game was against Wycombe. I haven’t spoken to anyone about the Wycombe job. I haven’t been approached and from what I understand they have got someone in mind.”
He added,“It’s nice to be complimented and to hear that some people would want me back but I am very happy at QPR working with Jim Magilton. I wish whoever gets the Wycombe job good luck and they will always be able to come to me looking for players on loan.”
