Pennock continued with his motivational talk, “They are good, honest boys but they have to learn and do the basic stuff right. We need to get back to basics – that’s what they have to do.”


Following the Bolton and Rochdale four goal hammering Pennock commented, “We are conceding poor goals, but we have to be positive and we have a big game this Saturday against Peterborough."


Ady Pennock’s fourteen game record (see above) is not the best and he acknowledged, “It is tough but football is not easy at all. I’m loving the job and being involved in football. There are always ups and downs. We are here to be tested and we are being tested at the moment but I am enjoying it.”


Pennock did admit to using strong language toward the Gills players at Rochdale, “We said a few things in the changing room after the game but what goes on in the changing room stays in the changing room. That is the way I work."
