Emmanuel Osadebe said on social media, “Enjoyed and learned a lot over my two years at Gills. Thankful to all the fans who have been in support of me from the start. Shared some great moments and will forever be thankful to the loyal fans. Only the beginning and happy with God’s plan.”

Young defender Mitchell Dickenson has announced he has left the Gills saying, “Thanks to everyone at Gills, been a great adventure since I was 11-years-old, but it’s a shame it’s come to an end through finding out over the phone. Onwards and upwards from here.”

Another player who Gills are likely to make an offer to stay at Priestfield is striker Cody McDonald (right), although the regular Gills goal scorer is now a free agent and could attract other League One or Two clubs.

Taylor and Pennock will also be having discussions with potential new player targets and Gills Chairman Paul Scally said, “I think it is fair to assume that there will be a lot of changes on the playing side.”
