Rochdale last won away at their near neighbours Bury by a single goal from Callum Camps last April, a victory that moved them to within three points of the 2016/17 League One Play-off places.

Manager Keith Hill (pictured above) is under pressure having lost their last three matches and won only one of their last seven his worries have increased this week through injury and illness that has hit Rochdale’s squad and has left Hill short on numbers for the game at the Priestfield Stadium.

Despite this, experienced manager Keith Hill has been boosted by recent Cup runs and said, “We’re still fighting and we’re determined to put a team out against Gillingham on Saturday. It’s at times like that these that everyone pulls together.”

Hill added, “We had a great training session on Thursday It was superb and there was a good appetite from the pIayers. I’ve got a plan and I’ve always got a plan that’s a continual theme, and we’re planning on going to Gillingham and be successful.”

Stuttering Gills at home, with just two victories all season, will have to be at their very best to gain all three valuable points on offer, to move them up and to increase Rochdale’s problems at the bottom

of League One.
