Mister Consistency is probably the best description for Simon after Gills signed him from Barnet in a £200,000 deal at the start of the 2007-8 season.

Began his football career as a trainee with Oxford United and only played a handful of games before moving to Underhill on a free where he spent four seasons including getting them promoted to the Football League.

Last season he scooped the Player of the Year Award and extended his contract with Gills until 2012.
